On Thursday 12 September, we invited partners, suppliers, employees and industry experts to join us in celebrating our 25th anniversary. In an industry like ours which moves and changes so rapidly, we are proud to be established and thriving into our 25th year of trading. The celebratory event, held at BT’s One Braham London Office in history-rich Whitechapel, was a great opportunity for us to come together to reflect on our company history and to look forward to the future.
Guests were welcomed with a fantastic lunch and a chance to network with other guests, before the afternoon was kicked off by Christopher Wellbelove, BT Wholesale Senior Marketing Consultant and our master of ceremonies for the afternoon.
At 13:30, our Chief Operating Officer Colin Nobbs took the stage to officially open the event. Colin spoke about the company history and some of the key successes that have driven the business forward over the last 25 years. “We have achieved so much together,” Colin said, “and as we look forward, I am confident that the next 25 years will be even more exciting as we continue to innovate and lead in the telecoms industry.”
Following Colin’s opening remarks, Kieron Moore, from our cyber partner Acronis, took the stage for a compelling talk on Cyber Protection. In today’s increasingly digital landscape, cyber threats are more prevalent than ever, and Kieron’s presentation highlighted the importance of robust cybersecurity measures. He walked the audience through the current threat landscape in the UK, stressing how crucial disaster recovery plans are for businesses of all sizes. “Understanding these threats is the first step towards securing your business,” Kieron emphasised, ensuring the importance of staying vigilant and proactive.
Kieron’s talk was followed by a short break where guests could enjoy more refreshments and partake in the Scalextric tournament, offering the chance to win exciting prizes, encouraging a friendly and competitive atmosphere.
The next highlight of the afternoon was a presentation by Steve Blackshaw, an industry expert from BT. As the IP Migration Director for BT Business, Steve’s role is to guide businesses through the transition from legacy mobile and fixed-line networks to BT’s cutting-edge All-IP products. His talk outlined the opportunities this transformation brings to businesses, from improved connectivity to more agile and scalable communication solutions. “All-IP is not just about replacing old technology,” Steve explained, “it’s about unlocking a world of opportunity for growth and efficiency in the digital age.”
To conclude the event, Colin Nobbs returned to the stage for the closing speech. He took the opportunity to once again thank the employees, clients, and partners for their dedication and contributions to Immervox’s success.
“Today’s celebration is a reflection of the hard work and commitment from every single person here,” Colin said. “As we move forward, Immervox remains committed to delivering innovative telecom solutions and supporting our clients in navigating the evolving landscape.”
The afternoon wrapped up with more networking and the announcement of the tournament winners (congratulations!).
We would like to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to everyone who joined us at our celebratory event, especially to Christopher, Kieron and Steve our speakers, and to BT for enabling us to celebrate in such spectacular style.
